MELAS (Mitochondrial Myopathy, Encephalopathy, Lactic Acidosis, and Stroke-like Episodes) is a rare mitochondrial disease few people know. The infographic was created to bring awarness and teach those who have never heard of MELAS what it truly is. Working with MitoCanada, you can now find the downloadable infographic on their website, MitoCanada.org. This infographic will also be posted and used during World Mitochondrial Disease Week, September 16th-22nd, 2024. The goal was to create a simple but impactful design that caught the eye of anyone who might see it. A green colour palette was used as that is the awarness colour for mitochondrial diseases, and the ribbon can be seen throughout.
